Salted Caramel Fondue
Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 ⅔ cups plus 2 tablespoons heavy cream, at room temperature, divided
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon fine grain sea salt
  • Flake salt for finishing, optional
  • Assorted foods for dipping: frozen cheesecake squares, berries, grapes, pound cake, brownies, etc.
