Air Fried Apple Turnovers by Gayle Bell

Ingredients
  • subheading: Filling:
  • 5 Apples and/or 2 Pears - Peeled, Cored & Cubed
  • ½ c Brown Sugar
  • ½ c Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ c Orange Juice Fresh Squeezed preferred
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon for filling, extra dash for outside of crescents
  • ¼ tbsp Nutmeg fresh ground preferred

  • 1 can Crescent Rolls
Steps
  1. subheading: Filling:
  2. Peel, core and cube all apples and pears place into Instant Pot, add orange juice.
  3. Mix in brown sugar, granulated sugar, spices, flour in a bowl.
  4. Layer the mixture over the top of the apples, do not stir. It will Burn!
  5. Cook filling High Pressure for 10 minutes with a natural pressure release.
  6. Apples will be chunky, carefully stir in order to not break up the chunks.

  8. Separate crescent rolls add 2 tbsp of filling to the center section of each crescent and roll up.
  9. subheading: Air Fryer Lid:
  10. 4 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and allow to cool prior to icing.
