Instant Pot Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt
Creamy, mild, and delicious yogurt using the cold start method with Fairlife milk.

Ingredients
  • 1 carton Fairlife whole milk (1.5L) 52 Ozs
  •  
  • 1 Pint Regular Whipping cream or ½ & ½.
  •  
  • 1½ Tbsp starter yogurt (Fage total plain)
  •  
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla paste
  •  
  • sweetener of choice
Steps
  1. Combine and stir milk, cream, and starter yogurt in Instant Pot. Cover with glass lid.
  2. Turn on Instant Pot and select "Yogurt". It will default to 8 hours.  Incubate for a minimum of 8 to 10 hours. Adjust incubation time for your taste preference. Longer incubation times will make more tangy yogurt.
  3. Optional: When incubation is complete, strain yogurt in Euro Strainer in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. Adjust time based on preference. More time = thicker greek style yogurt.
  4. Reserve a few tablespoons from your yogurt and freeze, you can use this as your starter for future batches!
  5. Add 1 Tbsp vanilla paste. Add desired amount of sweetener. Enjoy!
  6. Optional:  Blend with hand mixer or wisk vigorously to make the texture of the yogurt creamy and smooth.
Notes
  • This recipe reflects my preference for mild and thick yogurt.
