Black Eyed Peas - Instant Pot

Ingredients
  • 16 oz bacon - weigh before cooking
  • 1 lb black eyed peas (1 lb is about 2 to 2.25 cups)
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • Salt
Steps
  1. Cool bacon in Instant Pot (saute setting), skillet, or oven
  2. Cut or tear bacon into small pieces
  3. Rinse peas and place in Instant Pot
  4. Add water, chicken stock, and salt
  5. Stir and put lid on Instant Pot (vent closed)
  6. Turn on Instant Pot - manual for 30 minutes
  7. Let it natural release for 15 minutes - enjoy.
