Teriyaki Tofu Balls
Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Neutral oil, for cooking
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, blanched
  • 1 handful sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 1 handful chopped scallions, for garnish
  • subheading: Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar or 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with ⅔ cup water
