The Secret Vegan Burger
Ingredients
  • Stage 1
  • 1 Cup Cooked Lentils or Black Rice
  • 1 Can Cooked Organic Black Beans or Beluga Beans
  • 400g Mushrooms (cooked off in olive oil and lightly seasoned)
  • 150g Oats
  • 1 Can Chick Peas
  • Combine all above ingredients and lightly blend on slow speed
  •  
  • Stage 2
  • ½ Cup Beetroot sliced
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 1 tbsp Tapioca Starch
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chilli Flakes
  • Add above ingredients to blender and blend to a patty consistency
  •  
  • Stage 3
  • Chopped Parsley
  • Chopped Rosemary
  • More Chilli Flakes
  • Mix into ingredients with your hands and shape into a patty
Steps
  1. 1. Flash fry patty until golden on both sides
  2. 2. Place in the oven for 15 to 20 mins
  3. 3. In order, place on bun: sirachi vegan mayo, lettuce, gherkins, patty, chilli chutney, vegan cheese sauce and a small amount of french mustard.
