MY Instant Pot Pinto Bean Soup w/ Ham, Taters & Carrots

Ingredients
- 6 c H2O
- 2 T BTB (Better Than Bullion) chicken flavor
- 1 # dry pinto beans, rinsed, drained
- Salt & pepper
- ½ c chopped onions note *1
- 15 oz can stewed tomatoes w/ juice (had Italian style).. Can use diced but didn't have any
- 2 c each = Chunked potatoes, carrots, ham note*2
- NOTE *3
Steps
- Add 2T BTB to 2 c hot tap H20 to dissolve. Add this and 4 c more H2O to liner. Give a little stir.
- Add S &P, onions and tomatoes.
- Set lid to sealing!
- Set for 45 min high pressure. (took 20 to pressure)
- NR for 10 min
- Add veggies & ham.
- Set for 8 min high pressure (took 9m to pressure)
- NR for 3 min, QR.
Notes
- *1 I used leftover thawed, about ½ c. Fresh onions sauteed would have been better.
- *2 Potatoes and carrots were prev cooked in pot but needed more time, hence why I am using for soup. Ham was ½" slice of deli Krakus in ½" dice.. Don't use that again for soup.
- *3 Needs more seasoning, don't know what tho
