Someone left the bottle of Heinz 57 sauce almost empty in the fridge. The few drops left were just enough for me to copy it. My unsuspecting friend tasted it and liked mine better than the original. So I washed my Heinz 57 bottle, multiplied this recipe to fill it up, and I haven't bought another name brand since! My family actually prefers this without Tabasco, but the recipe is meant to copy the original, so I included it.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 ¼ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon yellow mustard
- ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 drop hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®) (Optional)
