Sour Cream Coffee Cake (Nina’s)
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbls cream cheese, if avaliable. Makes it moister.
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour (Cake Flour is Best)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (Walnuts, Pecans, Cashew, etc.)
  • 2 Tbls sugar mixed with ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbls powdered sugar for top of finished cake.
Steps
  1. Preheat Oven to 375°
  2. Throughly cream the butter and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs, sour cream, cream cheese, and the vanilla mixing well.
  4. Blend in the flour, bakiong powder, and baking soda.
  5. Mix until smooth.
  6. Spoon half of batter into a well greased bundt pan of angel food cake pan.
  7. Sprinkle with half of the nuts and half the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Spoon in the remaining batter.
  9. Sprinkle remaining nuts and cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  10. Place cake pan into the over and bake for one hour or until done.(Toothpick comes out clean)
  11. Cool bwtween 15 to 2220 minutes before removing from pan.
  12. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
