Margaret’s Soup
Ingredients
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic
  • 1- 14 ½ oz. can chicken broth
  • 2 to 14 ½ Italian style chopped tomatoes
  • 1- 15 oz. can white beans
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ⅛ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp crushed fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • ½ box small pasta (Shells or macaroni)
Steps
  1. Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic until cooked.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Lower heat and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until pasta is tender.
