  • ½ cup ( 100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup (60ml) pure maple syrup*
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons maple extract*
  • 1 cup ( 130g) chopped pecans (plus pecan halves for topping)*

  • ⅓ cup ( 70g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • optional for topping: 32 to 36 pecan halves
