Cold Oven Pound Cake

3 c sugar

1 c butter

6 eggs

3 c flour

1 c heavy cream

1 t vanilla, optional

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Mix well. Add flour alternating with cream. Pour into a greased and floured angel food cake pan. Place in cold oven and turn to 350*. Bake for 80 to 90 minutes.

Very good. I baked for 90 minutes and could have been a little less.
