Ingredients
- 4 to 5 oz chard
- ¼ roasted red peppers
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 small yellow onion
- 3 T walnuts
Steps
- Mince garlic.
- Cut ends off yellow onion and discard peel. Slice lengthwise into
- about ¼-inch thick strips.
- Remove center stems from rainbow chard. Slice stems into about
- ¼-inch pieces. Roughly chop leaves into bite-size pieces.
- Roughly chop walnuts.
- Heat about 1 ½ tablespoons cooking oil in a large sauté pan over
- medium heat.
- Add chard stems and remaining garlic to hot pan;
- stir. Cook 2 minutes, or until garlic is fragrant, stirring occasionally.
- Add chard leaves and roasted red peppers; stir. Cook 3 minutes,
- or until chard leaves wilt, stirring occasionally.
- Add walnuts; stir. Salt and pepper to taste.
