Ingredients
  • ½ C shortening
  • 1½ C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ C sour cream
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 2 C flour
  • ½ t. baking powder
  • ¾ t baking soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 1 C mashed bananas
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and blend in. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture.
  3. Stir in bananas. Spoon batter into lightly greased loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick stuck in center of loaf comes out clean.
