Gooey Ramen Eggs
Ingredients
  • eggs
  • soy sauce
  • mirin
Steps
  1. Prepare a steamer basket and a big bowl of water will some ice in it.
  2. Steam the eggs for exactly 6.5 minutes and then plunge them into the water.
  3. Peel the eggs - good luck this sucks.
  4. Place the eggs in a bowl and add 50/50 mirin and soy sauce until at least ½ of the eggs are covered.
  5. If using same day, leave out and rotate the eggs once an hour.
  6. Otherwise they can be kept for days in the fridge, rotated occasionally. Let them come back to room temp for an hour before using.
