  • 1 ¾ cups heavy cream
  • 1 ¼ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup shaved Parmesan cheese for topping
  • subheading: To thicken Alfredo sauce:
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
