Ingredients
  • 50g butter
  • 1 small red onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 200g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, cut into thin slices
  • 2 tablespoons instant roast meat gravy powder/granules
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Steps
  1. Melt butter in a large frypan over medium-high heat. Add onion and mushrooms.
  2. Cook, stirring for 10 minutes or until onion is softened. Add gravy granules/powder and 2 cups water. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until gravy thickens. Stir in parsley.
Notes
  • Even a drizzle of cream or sour cream added just before serving will make it decadent and delicious!
