Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp (½ stick) salted butter, divided in half
  • 1 large Spanish onion, cut length-wise in strands
  • 2 tbsp paprika (any kind & can increase to ¼ cup)
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 to 3 lbs chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1.5 cups beef broth
  • ½ cup dry red wine (or another ½ cup broth)
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp of water to form a slurry
  • Egg noodles (optional, cook separately)
