⅛ tsp salt ⅛ tsp salt
⅛ tsp cream of tartar ⅛ tsp cream of tartar
¾ c sugar granulated ¾ c sugar granulated
½ tsp vanilla ½ tsp vanilla
1 c chocolate chips 1 c chocolate chips
3 Tbs crushed candy canes (3 regular ones) 3 Tbs crushed candy canes (3 regular ones)

Separate out egg whites, let sit out to room temperature before beating.  Heat oven to 250°.  Beat egg whites in a small bowl until foamy.  Add salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.  Add sugar 1 Tbs at a time beating after each addition.  When stiff, fold in candies.  Drop onto greased sheets.  Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
