  • 1 package (0.25 oz) active dry yeast (not instant or rapid rise) (2 ¼ tsp if measuring from bulk yeast)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 2 eggs, room temp
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 oz sugar cubes, broken into large pieces (or pearl sugar)
