Crispy Mongolian Tofu
Ingredients
  • 1 block medium -firm tofu, twice frozen and thawed
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar (or light brown sugar)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup room temperature water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 scallion, segmented
  • 2 dried chilis, seeds removed & segmented
  • 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds, for garnish

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
