Pasta with Mushrooms and Prosciutto

  • Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup chicken stock or low-sodium chicken broth
  • 12 ounces pappardelle or fettuccine
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
