  • 450 g potatoes, peeled and cut into roughly 2cm cubes

  • pinch asafoetida
  • 2 red chillies, seeds in (deseed for a less hot version), chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 150 ml water
  • juice of a lemon
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ground nut oil
