  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches) or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup pitted dried apricots (about 2½ ounces)
  • 3 tablespoons orange marmalade
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Coarse salt (kosher or sea) and freshly ground black pepper
