  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 scallions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon coriander ground
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds or ground
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (optional - not traditional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt or more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup flat-leaf parsley
