  • SOURCE: "An Army Wife's Cookbook" (1972 ed.) - I inherited this cookbook from my now deceased mother-in-law. The original was written by Alice Kirk Grierson, the wife of 10th Calvary Benjamin H. Grierson. It was a primer for the cavalry wives of the American Southwest regarding how to flourish in their primitive conditions. Each of the recipes comes in two versions- the original & modernized for modern cooking methods!
