Ingredients
  • 6 lbs fresh - de-seeded tomatoes (or 4 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 ½ cup distilled white vinegar
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 ¼ teaspoons ground mustard
  • 4 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (use less if you don't like the heat)
  • 2 tablespoons canning salt (or regular salt if you are freezing instead of canning)
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons liquid smoke (optional)
