Duncan Hines Double-Layer Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

  • 14 maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1 package (15.25 ounces) Duncan Hines Signature Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup coconut rum (like Malibu)
  • ⅓ cup Easy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting or Duncan Hines Classic Creamy Vanilla Frosting

  • Two 8-inch round cake pans
  • Parchment paper to line the pans
  • Hand mixer to mix the cake batter and make the whipped cream frosting
