  • optional: ½ teaspoon espresso powder

  • ½ cup (1 stick; 115g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups ( 240g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons reduced Guinness (from step 1)
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
