  • 480g heavy cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • pinch of Salt
  • 65g custard powder
  • 200g sugar
  • 3 eggs, at room temperature
  • 70g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • subheading: Vanilla Bean Icing:
  • 375g powdered sugar, sifted
  • 45g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ½ tsp vanilla bean paste
  • whole milk to mix (a few tablespoons)
