Ingredients
  • Deborah Cormier Sloppy joe starter
  • 18 cups pureed fresh tomatoes
  • 6 large bell peppers minced
  • 4 jalapenos minced
  • ½ large onion minced
  • 3 large carrots minced in food processor
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp of liquid smoke
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 2 small cans tomato paste
  • I run everything through my food processor and then cook everything down to the right consistency then puree with immersion blender.
  • Water bath 20 minutes
