Mama’s Pecan Pie
Ingredients
  • 1 uncooked pie shell
  • 1 cup light Karo syrup
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 Tbsp margarine or butter (melted)
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp (heaping) flour
  • 1½ cups pecan halves
Steps
  1. Blend flour and sugar before adding to other ingredients.
  2. Mix eggs, syrup, margarine and vanilla.
  3. Add sugar and flour mixture; stir.
  4. Add pecans; stir.
  5. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  6. Bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
  7. Turn oven temperature down to 325 degrees and bake 40 minutes more.
  8. Don’t overlook. Is done when knife inserted in the center comes out almost clean.
