Burma Superstar Chicken Dal Curry

  • 2 ½ cups minced yellow onion
  • ⅓ cup minced garlic
  • 1 to 3 Thai chiles, optional
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  • 1 teaspoon Madras curry
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 cup cilantro sprigs for garnish
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges for garnish
