  • 1 (10 ½-ounce) can beef broth (condensed)
  • 1 (12-ounce) can beer
  • 4 medium carrots, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 medium to large potatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 6 small onions, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cold water
