  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon dried hot red-pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh lemon zest
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ lb dried egg fettuccine
  • ½ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ½ oz finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano (¼ cup) plus additional for serving
