  • 2 Tablespoons water cold

  • ¼ cup good-quality white chocolate chips see notes
  • 1 Tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • pinch of fine sea salt
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 candy canes crushed for garnish
