  • 220 g ( ¾ cup) regular molasses (such as Grandma’s, not blackstrap molasses)
  • 200 g ( 1 cup packed) light brown sugar
  • 240 g ( 1 cup) water or stout beer, such as Guinness
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • (240g) 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp. powdered sugar
