Classic (And Xl!) Hot Cross Buns

  • ⅔ c (¼ c) brown sugar
  • 8 tbsp (¼ c) granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange zest (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ c (¼ c) butter
