A collected recipe from my recipe box. From recipe cards my mom received in the mail years ago, recipes hand written from family members, clipped from coupon circlers, recipe cards from the store, recipe cards found in certain food boxes, recipes from food tubs, magazines and can food labels.
Servings: Makes 4 sandwiches
  • 1 (6½-ounce) can tuna, drained
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped seeded cucumber
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 2 English muffins, split, toasted
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 ounces (4 slices) cheddar cheese
  1. In a medium bowl, combine tuna, onion, mayonnaise, cucumber, and dill; mix well. Spread each muffin half with ¼ of the mixture; top with tomato slice. Place on broiler pan or ungreased cookie sheet; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until tomato is hot. Top each with cheese slice. Broil 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese melts.
