Ingredients
  • 2 cups basil leaves, packed
  • ½ to ¾ cup olive oil
  • 2 ½ cloves garlic
  • ½ cup pine nuts or walnuts
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pound pasta
Steps
  1. Combine basil, olive oil, nuts, garlic, salt and pepper in food processor. Process until mixed but still chunky.
  2. Add cheese and pulse to combine.
  3. Cook noodles, drain, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water.
  4. Add pasta water to loosen pesto.
  5. Pour pesto over noodles.
