Ingredients
  • All purpose flour/Madia          1 ¼cups
  • Ghee/clarified butter               ½ cup
  • Sugar                                      ½ cup
  • Baking soda                           ½ tsp
  • Cardamom powder               1 tsp
Steps
  1. Pre heat the oven at 350 degree F or 176 degree C
  2. In bowl add Sugar (Powder your sugar in mixer grinder) and thick Ghee/Clarified-butter
  3. Mix Ghee/clarified butter and powder sugar until fluffy.
  4. In another bowl add All purpose flour, baking soda and cardamom powder and shift well. Now add dry to wet.
  5. Form a smooth dough, rest the dough for about 60 to 80 minutes.
  6. Roll golf sized balls from the dough, Place them in baking tray. Keep some space between them as they expand while baking.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees F or 176 degress C for 20 to 25 mins, until you see the cracks on top.
  8. Note:- Baking time varies in each oven, so bake according to your oven. Be careful not to over bake and brown the nankhatais.
