Beef Empanadas with Olives

I have always loved cooking, and now that I am no longer working I have time to find and experiment with new recipes. The addition of a Thermomix to my kitchen has also helped in this process, as well as making life much easier!

1 tablespoon STAR Olive Oil

1 yellow onion , diced

3 garlic cloves , minced

1 pound lean ground beef

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika , or to taste

fresh ground pepper , to taste

½- cup chopped STAR Pimiento Stuffed Manzanilla Olives

1 package (2 sheets) puff pastry dough, thawed

subheading: EGG WASH:

1 egg

2 teaspoons water
