Chick-on Seitan
Vegan Chicken Meat
Ingredients
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 1 jar Chickpeas (400 grams)
  • 2 tblsp Peanut Butter
  • 2 tblsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tblsp White Miso
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tblsp Mushroom Powder
  • ½ tsp Agar Agar
  • 1½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tblsp Onion (dehydrated onion flakes)
  • ¼ Water
  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups Vital Wheat Gluten
Steps
  1. Blend ALL WET ingredients (NutriBullet)
  2. ADD Vital Wheat Gluten & blend (food processor)
  3. Wrap dough in Parchment Paper then wrap in Foil
  4. Steam for 2 hours (pressure cooker)
  5. Wait for Seitan to cool & shread

  • Double wrap Seitan to stop it expanding too much
  • Check at 1 hour, 1.5 hour & 2 hours
