Servings: Cabbage roll casserole
Ingredients
  • 6 cups of chopped cabbage
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • One medium onion, chopped
  • One cup of instant rice
  • Two cans of tomato soup
  • ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper,
  • One cup or more of water
  • ⅓ cup shredded cheddar cheese. I did not use cheese
  • Spices to make it spicy
Steps
  1. Put cabbage in a greased 2 ½ quart casserole dish. Sauté Ground beef and onion, drain. Add rice, salt and pepper. Spoon mixture over cabbage. Combine soup and water, and pour over the cabbage mix. Cover, bake 350° for 1 ½ hours. Remove cover, add cheese and bake till melted
Notes
  • Also may bake with thin slices of onion on top
  • I used some Progresso tomato basil
