5-Minute Split Pea soup
Ingredients
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 large carrots diced
  • 3 stalks of celery chopped
  • 2 cups of split peas
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 6 cups of water or vegetable stock
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • ΒΌ cup of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
Steps
  1. Add the carrot, celery and onion, stock, split peas, garlic and bay leaves to the Instant Pot.
  2. Using the manual setting, set at high pressure for 5 minutes. It doesn't matter if you use a quick release or natural release.
  3. Take out any bay leaves.
  4. Stir in the nutritional yeast and the liquid smoke.
