  • CLOVES GARLIC
  • 4 , thinly sliced
  • RED-PEPPER FLAKES
  • ½ teaspoon
  • SPRIGS BASIL
  • 2 , plus torn leaves for garnish
  • EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
  • 2 tablespoons , plus more for serving
  • COARSE SALT AND FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER

  • 4 ½ cups
  • FRESHLY GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE, FOR SERVING
