Homemade Breakfast Sausage -
Ingredients
  • 8 or 9 tsp. dried sage
  • 7 or 8 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. black pepper
  • 4 T. brown sugar*
  • ½ to 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • dash of some pepper: paprika, chili powder, cayenne

  • note: ote on the brown sugar: brown sugar is no good for us any more because of Mr. Charm’s Fructose Malabsorption.  My most recent substitution was to use about 5 heaping T. of dextrose in my spice mix.  The Geek said it was “ok” but not really as good as before.  My next attempt will be some dextrose and some maple syrup!  So, get creative if you need to - but the brown sugar version really was very good.
