Smoked Pastrami from Beef Brisket

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ tablespoon ground cloves
  • ½ tablespoon ground ginger
  • ½ tablespoon ground mace
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks
  • 4 bay leaves
