Sausage Pie

Ingredients
  • subheading: short crust pastry:
  • 6oz plain flour
  • 3oz butter
  •  
  • subheading: Filling:
  • 1 onion
  • 1oz butter
  • 1 lb pork sausage meat
  • 2oz grape nuts
  • 1 egg
  • 1 desert spoon parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon rind
  • pinch mixed spice
  • salt and pepper
Steps
  1. subheading: Pastry:
  2. rub fat into flour
  3. add water until correct consistency
  4. put in fridge for ½ hour
  5. subheading: Pie:
  6. Grease a pie tin and line it with pastry
  7. fry onions in butter until they are transparent
  8. add sausage and cook for 5 mins remove from heat, add everything else and mix
  9. put in pastry
  10. bake at 200°C for 20 mins
  11. turn down to 130ish for 15 mins
