Bath Bomb

Servings: 6

Servings: 6
Ingredients
  • subheading: Dry:
  • ½ cup Baking Soda
  • ¼ cup Citric Acid
  • ¼ cup Corn Starch
  • ¼ cup Epsom Salt
  •
  • subheading: Wet:
  • 1 tsp Water
  • 1 tsp Essential Oil
  • 2 tsp Coconut Oil
  • Food Colouring
  •
  • subheading: As Needed:
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  2. In a separate container, combine wet ingredients.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Add additional water, no more than 1 tsp at a time, until desired consistency is reached. The goal is to have a mixture that feels damp and, if squeezed in your hand, holds its shape without crumbling when released.  Be careful not to add too much water or the bombs will not hold their shape and hardly fizz in the bath.
  5. Pack mixture into mold of your choice, pressing in as tightly as possible.  An ice cube tray is ideal, or spherical ornament molds.  After resting for a few minutes, bombs can be released from molds and are ready to use.  If the bombs crumble, put them back in the mixing bowl and add ½ tsp vegetable oil.
  6. Bombs should be stored in a sealed container, away from moisture/humidity.
